While addressing the League of United Latin American Citizens, John McCain, who drew heavy criticism last year for his immigration reform bill, stressed the importance of securing our nations borders. McCain implied that he learned his lesson from last years backlash, saying that "we must prove to them (the American people) that we can and will secure our borders first."
